If your jus changing bulbs, that can be done from behind lights.

If your changing housing, side markers do need to come off, its very simple for do it yourselfers.

Aftrmkt lights come w/ directions. Jus look everything over, take your time, remember where everthing goes.

It' relatively easy...most parts stores will do it for you for free..if you do it yourself...do not touch the glass part of the bulb..

I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to cars. I need to replace the bulbs for my headlights. The Nissan manual says to take it to the dealer. How much would they charge for something like that? Is it easier to do it myself without breaking something else? It looks like you have to move certain pieces to get to the light? Actually first couple of years Altima's had a Grounding issue reacall. NTB05-057 %26quot; PB135 %26quot; Please get you car back to the dealer to catch up with the recalls and service campaigns. I am just guessing here it is the low beam light(s) that are not working. High beam lamps are harder to change. With a little luck you may end up with a new headlight assembly.

There should be a rubber boot covering the back of the headlight where the wire goes into.

When you remove the wire the boot will pull off and there is a spring clip behind it, The spring holds the bulb in place.

Push in and move Down, If you look it is in a hook to hold it.

You may have to move the power steering out of the way to get to the bulb if the headlight is on the drivers side. Just pop the power steering canister out of place (it will stay connected) and reach for the bulb.How do i change the headlight bulb on my 1990 Honda Accord lx?
there is a retaining ring that holds the buld into the headlight assembly. to replace the bulb, first disconnect the connector from the old bulb. There is a tab on the top of the connector that pushes backward (toward the engine) and with the tab released and held back you can push the connector downward to remove it. On many of the older cars you need to use a flat blade screwdriver to push the sides of the connector downward because the connectors are stuck on from years of dirt and grime buildup.



with the connector removed you can reach the retaining ring that holds the bulb in. the retainer ring is a circular ring that locks the bulb in place. to release the bulb you turn the retaining ring counter-clockwise (when looking at the ring from the engine). The ring should turn between 1/8 and 1/4 turn before the bulb will pull out. The bulb comes out straight rearward.



you replace the bulb by reversing the above steps. As a caution, don't handle the bulb by the glass; only touch the plastic housing or you'll cause the new bulb to fail prematurely.



you may have to remove the power steering reservoir or the air inlet tube on some models (the thing that looks like a periscope on the right side--it just pulls straight up and out) to get to the bulb if you have big hands, but it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Those plastic trim cover under the lights may break taking them off if you don't know how to remove them grill work has to be removed seven square 1/4 with screwdriver slots and 2' long screwdriver and flashlight to release the grill if your skinny armed and double jointed you can remove the 2 ten millimeter bolts under each head light and the other ones you see on the inside top and behind the inner fender liners. A body shop or Nissan Technician who has had the front ends off of a Titan is who I would get to replace those lights.
